Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Im also worried we will slip back into old habits that moshiri did, when we go out and buy ageing cast offs from other bigger teams.
Completely different owners, completely different management structure, there is absolutely nothing to suggest we'll go down this route.

I get why Blues are worried though considering how emotionally scarred they are from that era.

Branthwaite’s emergence as one of the Premier League‘s top centre-backs has been critical in Everton’s ability to avoid relegation in the past few seasons.

All the Stones/Grealish chat is from awful websites. Pure clickbait and it’s worked as some in the fanbase are taking this as 100% its happening!!!

When moyes first came we had the likes of Ginola & Blomquist big names but past it…he got rid of them straight away. Why do ppl think the more experienced, with better backing moyes would sign other teams castoffs?

Moyes clearly will have seen our crazy transfers under Moshiri and thought what a waste.

I trust him & TFG not to repeat the errors of a Walcott or a Rooney

So with players leaving creating a bit of room for salaries and freeing up loan spots I would have thought that we would have moved for players out of contract at other clubs, particularly goal keepers.

We have 5.5m incoming for Maupay (+add-ons we will never see).

Moyes talked about player availability loads when he was talking about new recruits and things like a DCL new contract. Not a chance we go for Stones unless it’s a hugely beneficial deal to us

London press for Chelsea trying to sign our players for them

He will be player #102747828 on Chelsea’s books So why go there ?

I would be very encouraged by the Josh Brownhill links if true. Negotiations apparently are stalling with Parker/Burnley. Maybe Burnley's best player last campaign. And maybe most important, fairly analogous to Doucoure albeit I'd argue with a bit better goal scoring knack and being in his prime oppose to exiting it.

Listen these aren't the world beaters but they are spine and depth assurance that's going to be an element of this windows signings one way or the other. And when we have to fill so many holes with a limited budget, a link to one of the best free agents on the market, whose fit is very conceivable I'd argue is savvy business by Moyes and Co. At 29 we are seeing his best years over this next deal if there ends up an agreement.

The strategy in the market should be acquiring appreciating value assets, but I'd argue that goal is buoyed when the veteran adds are quality and come on the free oppose to eating some of the transfer budget. Someone like Brownhill offers more allocation elsewhere.

We shall see how much merit is in the rumors but I think that'd be great signing for us on the free.

you would think the early part of the window we would be trying to get some players that are out of contract, the loan slots are usually filled later in the summer.
