I always figured TFG bought the club because of the opportunity around the stadium more than anything else.

I think the same, but their success in other areas shows they're no idiots when it comes to business ventures. They basically got the club for a bargain and a world class stadium.

That can only be good for us.

The art of being a middle manager. Talk the talk but won't walk the walk.

All my experience of him was that he was more than capable in his role. I've had a fair bit of contact with him through one of my previous roles. I wouldn't have had him in line for the chop based on my experience. Im not sure that your assessment is entirely fair, but opinions do differ.

Some do, most don't (goalkeepers on the bench), because it's a waste of time. Fine, don't put a kid on the bench, just pick 8 players, why waste Begovic's time, he could be grooming his wife's horse instead or having a nice cup of tea watching the real housewives. Same outcome.

We won't sign that many players, is my prediction, and we'll renew the contracts of some horrors. Hope I'm wrong.
I think we offer contracts to people not everybody will be happy with, but I do think we sign a load of players, a mixture of loans, frees and a few cash money.

Begovic is getting paid millions a year, he can tivo the real housewives.

Ive been and am his biggest fan on here.

But they are putting a hell of a lot of faith in Moyes.
Maybe still think will have been agreed on what direction they want him to go in, like Souček would be very surprised if they let moyes bid big for him becuase of the age ect. I still feel will see more come in and it will be more of a network. Ofc as you say moyes will have power in it just will have to work int he clubs system

My concern is less about individual stuff mate, he will do a brilliant job. It’s more if you make one person being the key stone of the structure, will that structure fall of a cliff when the key stone goes, he’s 61.

100% we have seen it before here and has put us in this position having a mix of players. Just part of me thinks will moyes be put into a postion like raneri maybe. Is just a waiting game really be good see more faces come in is talk of the atlanta scout aswell coming in and id still like another like a weir to come in to help struture the academy ect.

I see him moving upstairs in semi retirement in some technical role mate, I think he will do another 5 years as manager. But the mistake we made the last time with Moyes was when he left, we never really recovered, the clubs structure just got progressively worse without him.

He’s that Ferguson, Wenger autocratic presence when he leaves there will be vacuum unless there is a structure in place.

I think what we’re seeing is the structure he’s asked for - him in that autocratic position, with a load of helpers with fancy titles but with him in ultimate authority, answerable to the CEO.

It’s a huge amount of faith put in him and the short term by TFG in my opinion.

I mean the counter may be that he actually left a very well run. The training ground has been rebuilt. A very strong academy group was about to emerge, the academy more broadly was in good shape. There was a good scouting network as well, for both young and senior players.

We had a good, well balanced squad and decent coaches/senior pros left. There was a strong, clear identity within the club. It was a very good foundation to build on, which we ultimately didn't do.

I always felt that the more of what he left got gutted, the further away we got.

But for me, Everton in 2012/2013 was in a good situation to be taken on. This will sound weird, but I actually think on some ways he built a structure that times almost showed up some of his limitations as a coach.
