Was Simms so bad? I thought of all the guys we'd want in the middle he's our tallest and kind of set his mark with the Chelsea goal.

Anyway, done deal so fair enough. Not seen enough of Cannon - hoping he gets early cup games with Mills and co, and a few league showings to help step up.

Not so sure about that. Long was a pretty bad goalscorer in this league. Maupay has to this point been better.

Its not overrating Shane Long, Maupay is an awful player, I reckon I could play better than him.

No I get it, we all have our guys, but some guys I still can’t believe are people’s guys.

Maupay is like 20 goals from having more than Shane Long in like 10 less seasons. Long scored 56 goals across 15 seasons! This isn’t a Maupay defense. Shane Long was awful.

And to bring it back to Cannon aside from the lazy Irish part what concerns me is he seems like a runner and that’s it. I don’t see the subtleties in his game.

Shane Long wasn't a great goalscorer but worked very hard for the team . Maupay is neither
