Everton see bid for Southampton winger Tyler Dibling rejected

Everton have had a £27m bid rejected by Southampton for teenage winger Tyler Dibling.

The 19-year-old is regarded as one of Southampton’s brightest young prospects, having made 33 appearances in all competitions last season.

Dibling is under contract at St Mary’s and the club are thought to value him closer to £40m.

Everton are considering whether to return with an improved offer as manager David Moyes looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.

Everton appear to have turned their attention to Dibling after hitting dead ends in pursuits of Francisco Conceição, Johan Bakayoko and Malick Fofana — with the Southampton winger now emerging as a top target for Moyes as the Blues look to finally land some attacking reinforcements.

Dibling, who is most comfortable operating on the right flank, has represented England at youth level and has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including West Ham United and Aston Villa.
