‘More belief’: Arnaut Danjuma says confidence is growing ahead of Luton Town game

Everton winger Arnaut Danjuma has stated that confidence is growing within the squad after back-to-back victories this week.

Indeed, the 26-year-old states that there is ‘more belief’ in Sean Dyche’s side that they can continue their winning streak against Luton Town tomorrow.

The Toffees welcome newly promoted Luton to Goodison Park, with Rob Edwards’ side yet to win a game this season.

While Everton’s start to the season got off to a slow start, confidence has been renewed after last weekend’s win at Brentford followed by Wednesday’s League Cup victory at Villa Park.

With two away wins on the bounce, Arnaut Danjuma insists that Everton must now replicate their form on the road with a home victory.

Speaking with the official Everton website, Danjuma said: “I don’t think many teams are comfortable coming to Goodison Park.

It’s a tough place to play, but as I said earlier, I think we’re getting more belief back now. That’ll get the fans going, which will get the player going, and that will only make tougher [sic] to teams to come to Goodison Park, which for me, is already feared anyway.

We need to build upon our momentum, get the entire stadium and the fans going, and make sure we’re in the best place possible to get another win.”

Fans will hope Arnaut Danjuma is right and first Goodison Park victory is imminent

Goodison Park is yet to witness an Everton win so far this season with three defeats to Fulham, Wolves and Arsenal.

Indeed, the Toffees haven’t scored a goal on home turf yet, but with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s fine form of late, alongside that of £26m signing Beto, the visit of the Hatters is an opportune time to strike.

This is a real chance for Sean Dyche’s side to gather some momentum and put a little distance between ourselves and the bottom three.
