Jordan Pickford ‘Agrees’ Everton Contract

Jordan Pickford has agreed a new contract with Everton, according to reports.

The Times report ‘negotiations with the England No 1 have been taking place for several months and there has been significant progress to leave Everton optimistic that they can retain the 28-year-old’ and according to The Athletic, ‘If all goes according to plan, Pickford will sign his new deal with Everton this week’

Pickford began his youth career at Sunderland and made his senior debut for the club in 2011. He went on to have loan spells at several clubs before establishing himself as Sunderland’s first-choice goalkeeper in the 2016-17 season. His performances earned him a £25m, potentially rising to £30m move to Everton in 2017, where he has since become a key player for club and country.

Pickford’s current deal expires in the summer of 2024 – confirmation of Pickford renewing his contract beyond would be a significant boost for Everton and new manager Sean Dyche as work continues to keep the club in the Premier League.
