Cenk Tosun has penned a goodbye message to Evertonians.
The 31-year-old was a £27m signing in the January window of 2018. Tosun made a decent start to life on Merseyside, bagging five goals in 14 matches to conclude the 2017/18 campaign.
It went quickly downhill over the next three-and-a-half seasons with Tosun scoring just six further goals for the club, with two loan spells away with Crystal Palace and Besiktas.
Out of contract this summer, Tosun was always destined to move on.
Cenk Tosun: “Dear Blue Family,
“I had a great four and a half years as a member of your family with ups and downs and now unfortunately it is time to say goodbye.
“I would like to thank my coaches, teammates, staff, board members, and the chairman I had worked with.
“And of course, I would like to thank our fans!
“I loved it to be an Evertonian and I will always be an Evertonian.
“I have nothing but love for this club!
This club has so much potential and I am sure soon Everton will have better days and when the day comes I will be celebrating as well.
Take care,
Cenk Tosun”
