Bramley-Moore Dock Update

Everton will discover the fate of their Bramley Moore Dock stadium plans next week.

On Tuesday, February 23, councillors on Liverpool City Council’s planning committee will meet to decide if the stadium at Bramley Moore Dock can go ahead

Significantly, planning officials in Liverpool are recommending approval for Everton’s £500m new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock and construction work could start in the spring.

In his report to the council’s planning committee, case officer Peter Jones concluded that: “substantial public benefits far outweigh any heritage harm. The potential to deliver heritage benefits both on site and to the public in terms of enhancing degraded on-site heritage assets, improving access to the world heritage site and unlocking access to the history and an improved interpretation of the world heritage site in the Northern Docks.”
