Everton believe they’ll beat Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal to the £30m signing of Gabriel Magalhães.
The Guardian report the 22-year-old is a key target and Everton expect the left-footed centre half to join Carlo Ancelotti’s squad once the transfer window opens.
Born in Sao Paolo, Magalhaes began his career in his home country with Avai FC before being quickly snapped up by Lille.
Following loan spells where he stayed in France with Troyes and also went to Croatia with Dinamo Zagreb, Gabriel forced his way into Lille’s first team and has caught the eye of some top teams this season with a series of impressive performances in 34 starts for Little including against tough opposition in the Champions League group-stages against the likes of Chelsea, Valencia and Ajax.
