Everton legend Joe Royle has praised Everton’s display at Stamford Bridge on Sunday as Everton’s best performance since David Moyes.
Royle said: “I was very impressed against Chelsea.
“I saw them against Brighton and they were terrific, with the slight caveat that on the day Brighton weren’t very good, but certainly there was none of that against Chelsea.
“I thought it was probably the best performance by an Everton side since David Moyes was in charge. They really were that good.
“They were forward thinking, they were progressive when they could be and tight at the back. So I can only see them getting better.”
