Everton have sold Ramiro Funes Mori to Villarreal for an undisclosed fee.
The centre-back has agreed a four-year deal to June 2022 with the club, who finished fifth in La Liga last season.
Everton signed Funes Mori in September 2015 from River Plate for £9.5m.
The 27-year-old made his debut in a 3-1 home win over Chelsea later that same month and went on to make 67 appearances for the Blues, scoring five goals.
