Chelsea’s John Terry has heaped praise on John Stones.
He told talkSPORT: “I’m a big fan of his. I’ve seen a lot of his games. He pulls wide of the box and he likes to get the ball and for a young defender to do that in the Premier League, it takes some guts.
“I think he’s exceptional with both feet, he’s a ball playing centre half, which you need to be nowadays.
“He’s extremely confident, there’s been games I’ve watched when I’m thinking, ‘don’t get it there, it’s a bit tight’ and he gets the ball and plays from the back. That can only be good for English football.
“He looks very comfortable and definitely one I’ve been impressed with.”
