Ross Barkley insists he is “happy to play anywhere”.
The 21-year-old has played in a variety of positions this season, sometimes playing deeper in midfield or in a wide position as well as the more familiar number 10 role, prompting criticism towards Roberto Martinez for failing to make the most out of the player but Barkley reckons it’s a useful learning experience.
Barkley told evertontv: “It has been a learning experience
“Everything is when you are on the pitch. You learn a lot, playing wide, playing as a central midfielder or in the hole.
“I am happy to play anywhere because there’s no better way of learning and gaining experience.”
