Yawn. We know, we know. More Ross Barkley leaving media drivel.
This time, a slightly more reputable source. The Daily Express reckon Chelsea are ‘leading the race’ to sign Ross Barkley, with Everton quoting Chelsea £50m.
Race? It must be a marathon, given it’s September. Anyway. Apparently, Man City value Barkley at £35m and have been put off by Everton wanting £50m but, according to the Daily Express, Mourinho is ‘pally’ with Everton and is confident he can negotiate a lower fee for Barkley.
The same journalist, Anthony Chapman, also reported last week that Chelsea will sell Ramires for £25m to balance their books to fund their opening bid of £30m for Ross Barkley.
