Everton 4-0 QPR

Everton secure a comfortable 4-0 win over QPR to progress to the 4th round of the FA Cup

Ross Barkley opened the scoring before Nikica Jelavic added a second and third, before Seamus Coleman made it 4-0.

Roberto Martinez made five changes from the starting line-up named against Stoke City, with, *take a breath*, Nikica Jelavic, Joel Robles, Bryan Oviedo, Steven Naismith and Leon Osman coming in for Romelu Lukaku, Tim Howard, Leighton Baines, Kevin Mirallas and Steven Pienaar.

Everton dominated from the off, but took 35 minutes to open the scoring through Ross Barkley, who stroked the ball beyond the QPR ´keeper from 15 yards out after being set up well by Bryan Oviedo.

Jelavic deservedly doubled the Toffees´ lead a minute before the break with his first goal of the season by firing past Julio Cesar from 20 yards, and grabbed his second of the game with a close-range finish on 68 minutes.

The Croatian missed the chance to score a hat-trick by hitting the crossbar with a penalty after being felled by Nedum Onuoha with 16 minutes remaining, but Seamus Coleman took his tally for the season to six goals when his thunderous effort from the right-hand side almost broke the back of the net 60 seconds later.
