Veteran French defender Sylvain Distin has penned a one year extension to his deal at Everton.
The pacey centre-half has decided to extend his stay at Goodison Park instead of leaving when his old contract expired in the summer of 2013.
The contract ensures that Sylvain will be playing top level English football beyond the age of 36, and means that Everton will become one of two clubs he has served the longest for in his career (tied with Manchester City).
