Everton ´keeper Tim Howard has extended his contract at Goodison Park, and will now remain an Everton player til 2016.
The American international has established himself as the number one ´keeper at the Toffees since his 2006 arrival from Manchester United, holding off attempts to dislodge his position from other quality ´keepers such as Slovak international Jan Mucha in recent times.
This season saw the stopper score his first goal for Everton, with an unlikely wind assisted punt against Bolton.
Tim Howard expressed his delight in an exclusive interview with evertonfc.com.
“I couldn´t be happier. I´ve had a smile on my face ever since we finalised the deal.
“When you have a really good relationship in life and both sides are eager to continue and keep that going, it´s a no-brainer.
“This hasn´t been a knockdown, drawn-out type of negotiation with meetings or anything like that. They were very happy to keep me here and I was very, very happy to stay.
“It´s a place that is home for me.”
