Everton look set to continue their policy of looking towards the United States for talent, as former LA Galaxy striker with a hilarious name Edson Buddle is set to jet in for a trial at Goodison Park.
Buddle was linked with Everton prior to moving to Ingolstadt04 in the German second tier, after impressing in his homeland for the LA Galaxy with a goal ratio of nearly one every two games.
His stint in Germany has not been as impressive, and his progress has been stalled due to injuries at crucial intervals in his career. Now aged 30, Edson appears to be ready to try his hand in England.
The news has came courtesy of his agent @RichardMotzkin on Twitter; however, it has not been verified by anyone at Everton FC or his current club.
For those asking, my client @EdsonBuddle will be on trial this week at Everton FC. Nice call by @MLS_Analyst .
