The inevitable media reports linking Steven Pienaar with a return to Goodison Park have gained momentum, with Goal.com claiming Tottenham have placed a £5m valuation on the former Everton favourite.
Pienaar has struggled to get a kick at Tottenham since his move from Everton last January, not featuring in a single Premier League game this season and being restricted to just three Europa League appearances.
Goal.com claim Spurs boss Harry Redknapp held a meeting with Pienaar and his advisors last week in which was concluded that the 29-year-old would be allowed to leave in the January transfer window as he seeks first-team opportunities.
