David Moyes has lavished praise on Apostolos Vellios, insisting the Greek teenager has what it takes to perform at the highest level.
The 19-year-old was snapped up from Iraklis Thessaloniki in January 2011 for buttons, and the youngster began repaying the Clubs faith with a goal against Wigan at the weekend.
Moyes: “He can finish from crosses, he´s got the ability to get on the end of things, technically he´s really good for a big lad, he´s very gifted. There´s something to work with.
“It´s the only way we can do it, to give some of these young boys a chance. They are the best of what we´ve got at the moment.”
