Irvine Back As Youth Manager

Former Everton Assistant Manager Alan Irvine has agreed to return to the club to head up the Everton Academy.

Alan was the long time number two for David Moyes and enjoyed considerable success at Everton, before leaving to become manager at Preston North End and then Sheffield Wednesday.

“I am delighted that someone of the calibre of Alan Irvine has agreed to re-join the club,” said a clearly delighted David Moyes.

“Once we knew Alan was available it made sense to bring him in as soon as possible and make the change quicker than expected.”

Irvine will replace long term Academy head Ray Hall after he announced his intention to retire. However, Hall will be retained at the club in an international ambassador role.
