Finally, some news for Everton fans to get excited about, well, sort of. It´s certainly the biggest news of Everton´s summer so far anyway.
Introducing a new Evertonian prediction league! – What? – That is exciting – considerably more exciting than the plethora of transfer drivel in the media at the moment.
Our off-the-cuff, fairly bog standard prediction game in our forum proved massively popular last season, so we´ve upped our game and developed a new, deserving Everton prediction league. Well, we´ve had nothing else to do…
Sign in to your GrandOldTeam account (or register), click on ´Prediction League´ (Under the ´The Site´ category on the navigation bar) and simply predict the score of the upcoming Everton games, starting with Bury on 15th July.
We´ve kept the scoring simple. 3 points for a correct score and 1 point for the correct result. An example of the scoring system is below;
3 Points (Correct Score and Result)
Prediction: Everton 2-0 Liverpool
Actual Result: Everton 2-0 Liverpool
1 Point: (Correct Result)
Prediction: Everton 1-0 Liverpool
Actual Result: Everton 2-0 Liverpool
0 Point:
Prediction: Everton 1-1 Liverpool
Actual Result: Everton 2-0 Liverpool
We´ll be giving away prizes at various intervals to prediction league players. Signed Everton merchandise, (Sport Signings), free football bets, (Paddy Power), Everton match tickets, (Everton FC GrandOldTeam´s bank balance), financial advice consultations (Goldsmith Mortgage Services), copies of Fifa 12 and Football Manager 2012, and the Everton mints and Everton 2005/06 season review when we´re skint and cant get someone else to foot the bill. Above all, it offers gloating rights when you finish higher than your mates.
Get stuck in.
