Fellaini Snr. Hits Out At Everton

The father of injured Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini has hit out at Everton for allowing his son to play against Sunderland last weekend.

The Belgian limped off after trying to run off an injury he sustained earlier in the game, and now faces surgery next week, a situation his father claims is Evertons fault.

“Marouane is really in a desperate state,” said Abdellatif Fellaini in the Gazet van Antwerpen.

“He should never have played that last game against Sunderland, he should never have been allowed to play. Because he was already injured.

“Against Chelsea, Marouane already had received a knock. And yet they let him play against Sunderland, while the doctors have prescribed rest. Who ultimately decided otherwise, I do not know.”
