More than a hit of the Samuel Eto’o about this transfer.

Will come in, score a couple of worldies, cause havoc in the dressing room then get punted out to the Turkish league in the summer.

What evidence is there to say Eto'o was causing havoc? Accounts ive read he kicked up about training and tactics being poor and others felt the same?

Eto'o was a class above in his quality, Zlatan would be the same and would teach the younger ones how to play striker.

The massive risk of bringing Zlatlan, is him being our highest paid player in our history and he can't make the bench because he's injured. That would be my only concern, Ancelotti said that Zlatlan was one of the easiest players to train, because he's a proffesional first and wants to win. He has a huge ego but uses it in the right way.

I suppose as usual in these cases its more about marketing and merchandise or what have you?

Not to be negative, but 38 is getting on in age even for a goalkeeper, and you've gotta wonder what effect a guy like that will have on the dressing room?

I think we should be looking toward the future, and up and coming young players. I'm always wary when managers go for older players, because it seems to be indicative of them focusing on the present, rather than looking to the future. It's often younger managers who build from the bottom up, and I think that's what we need to be thinking about long term.

I'm hoping Ferguson will learn from Carlo to be honest as I really do think he has the fire, and leadership potential to be a great manager with a bit of guidance...

Still who knows, Zlatlan is the kind of guy who likes to smash expectations. One great season could get us rolling, and Vardy is proof positive of just how beneficial a top goalscorer can be...

But on balance I would vote no, and am pretty sure it won't work out much better than Rooney's return did...

We already have two younger strikers with supposedly high potential tho (Jury still out big time on both).

What we are absolutely lacking up front is a striker with experience
