Nostrajimus.
Unfortunately I can see it being a disaster. They will 100% sack their manager well before Christmas (he's dreadful and has never stayed anywhere for any length of time at all) and be in a relegation dogfight, deciding a 19 year old keeper isn't the right man for the situation and bringing Marcus Hahnemann out of retirement instead.

Give himself a new Job lol-wonder what Joao Virgínia thinks

Mark Bowen has agreed a deal with Reading to become the Championship club's new head coach. Bowen will be confirmed as Reading's replacement for Jose Gomes in the next few days after terms were sorted on Sunday night.

The former Wales international had been working as the club's sporting director but will now be moving into the dug-out for the first time as a No.1, signing a deal until the end of the season.

Championship
Hull City - Josh Bowler came on in the 84th minute and was booked in a 2-3 home defeat to Queen's Park Rangers
Matthew Pennington was an unused substitute in the same match

League One
Burton Albion - Nathan Broadhead started and was substituted in the 69th minute of a 1-4 home defeat to Fleetwood Town

OS Match Report
"Scott Fraser was just a whisker away from grabbing a precious lead for the Brewers when he turned smartly onto Broadhead's ball to find the inside of the post with his shot"
"he was swiftly raiding forwards and helping to create a chance that Broadhead curled towards goal, the ball taking a deflection off a Fleetwood boot to land on the roof of the net."
"Boyce quickly made his entrance with Broadhead making way after another industrious shift from the Toffee's youngster"

Twitter stuff
33. OFF THE POST - AND THEN DISALLOWED! Albion think they've scored as Broadhead puts Fraser through, and his effort cannons off the post. We win it back and Lucas turns home unmarked, but the offside flag is up!
43. CLOSE! Broadhead cuts in from the left and shoots, it deflects off the defender making the challenge and loops over Cairns but onto the roof of the net.
52. CLOSE!!! Broadhead finds Sarkic in acres of space in the middle. Fleetwood recover and Oli curls one left-footed that Cairns just manages to palm wide.
55. Lovely play from Broadhead on the left, then he's played into the box by the byline, pulls back for Lucas but he can only chest it wide of the near post.

Belgian League
KC Kortrijk - Fraser Hornby started and was substituted in the 85th minute of a 2-0 home win against Zulte Waregem
Apparently he scored a disallowed goal (because of someone else's handball in the runup).

Kieran Dowell was an unused substitute.
Joao Virginia and Korede Adedoyin were not in the matchday squad.

....Dowell and Pennington struggling for game time, it might be difficult to move either on whilst under contract. Just watching Joe Williams playing for Wigan. He’s left us now on a permanent deal but he consistently provides what a team needs so it was no surprise that he was in demand.

Hopefully we realise some money for Kenny but Virginia is another that is struggling on loan.

Much rather try and cash in on Coleman next summer than Kenny.

I know well your views on the first team futures of players sent out on loan but Kenny is the one I still have hopes for. My main concern with him is pace and I know the game may have changed slightly but I don't think he is any slower than Gary Neville and I think he has a lot of similar qualities. And in your words which is something I always look for is that he plays every game like it matters and he cares. If he doesn't come back I think he might stay in Germany and then I have no doubt he'll be back in the Premier league.

But it's all just a bit disappointing from the kids point of view. Won the U23 title twice (I know people have views on how we won and the squad age range) and this was meant to be if not a golden generation then at least gold plated.
Ledston, Williams, the little midfielder who was terrific and who's name escapes me, do well. All highly rated but haven't progressed.
As you say, the gap between U23 and playing for the first team is absolutely massive and there's hardly any guarantees unless you get a once in a generation Rooney.

I know your view is that Silva doesn’t want him, but Kenny is having one of the best loan spells of anybody in recent years, playing well in a team riding high in the Bundesliga. If your ambition is to “ hopefully realise some money “ from him and the club thinks the same way then really I despair . We’ll then spend £20 mill plus on Coleman’s replacement and eventually another £10 mill on a back up, while still failing to bring in a goalscoring No9 . Kenny meanwhile will
Iikely have been sold at 22 for a pittance with his best years ahead of him.

...’little midfielder’....think that’s reference to Liam Walsh. He went to Bristol City but failed to establish himself, on loan at Coventry currently if it’s the player you are referring to. I think it is, he was very highly thought of and I thought he’d do well after leaving us. I could add add Adam Forshaw to your list, who is now at Leeds and rebuilding his. as is John Lundstram who has gone on to for e his way to being a regular in Wilder’s Blades team.

I agree with the sentiment in your post though. We do seem to have a history of developing players but you have to trust the opinions of the coaching staff at Finch Farm, there are very few who have gone on to a level where you would say we’ve not made the right call. Of course, the player, his family and his agent all have a say in their future and may feel opportunities at Everton are limited......perhaps Gibson will be one who we may regret not nurturing his ambition sufficiently if he does go on to move from us.
