Great debut for the lad, Wigan fans hero worshipping him on twitter. Apparently one more goal will make him joint 3rd top scorer for Wigan lol
Around about this time last year he was our top goalscoer in the then u21s with 5 goals as a defender , don't think he scored many more , but today was no fluke he's scored goals throughout his career with us and England youth. Made up for the youngster.

Wonder how long it will be before he is pushing for a place on the bench.

Yes he's definitely got an eye for a goal, he's always very composed for a defender, great debut well in Callum!

This loan period will hopefully define that , you would expect that next pre season he'd be in the mix. Despite playing at RB today and on loan to Barnsley last season he's been played for us as mainly a right footed left back who can play every position across the back and in midfield. 18 months ago he was way down the order for left back behind Baines, Oviedo , Galloway and Garbutt, he's moving up the list while others are standing still or going backwards. His versatility makes him the ideal bench player, maybe not strong/big enough for a PL CB position yet but the number of goals he scores with his head and gets away when defending shows he gets up well.
