I think on the right hand side mainly, with maybe mirallas and jelavic up top? it really depends on who we're playing and who's available, I think he'll give us extra attacking options which will add to the fluidity of the side that has been apparent in the opening games, that said I don't think he'd drop in straight away

Hmmm, not a bad transfer by the sounds of it. I'll be happy if it comes off then but perhaps not gutted if it doesn't.

I think he'd be good, he'd just need time to settle in.

As much as I dislike the whole 'this is what formation we should play' thing, these are just a couple of ideas as to where he could fit into the team, bearing in mind that these can pretty much all be rotated because of the number of options we have going forward:

Howard
Hibbert jagielka Distin Baines
Goufffran Gibson Fellaini Pienaar
Mirallas
Jelavic

Gouffran Naismith Pienaar

If we're only paying that for him I'll drive to France and pick him up

Like I say that was the price Brian Swanson said, Us and Villa are looking at him but for that price it seems risk free. I'm not sure what we're going to do with all these attacking players though. Knowing our luck the whole back four will all suffer from gout and we'll end up with Neville at centre-back.

Does Moyes not realise we're short of defenders? i mean Baines is our only out and out left back, only 3 premier league standard Centre halfs? what happens if a couple get injured? You know it always happens to Everton...

Know nothing about this guy really, I wouldn't be against it if he was relatively cheap though.

Right backs - Coleman, Neville, Hibbert
Centre Backs - Distin, Heitinga, Jagielka, Duffy, Hibbert (if need be)
Left Backs - Baines, Distin/Neville (if need be)

all prem quality mate

Id Argue coleman isnt, but y'ano, we've plenty of cover for fullback really, Nev and Hibbert can both play LB.

My worry about left back cover has been eased a fair bit after Baines' injury last year. Distin was fantastic for us there and we were generally still ace.

Although he's maybe a wee bit big for a fullback, Distin's pace and general defensive aceness make him a more than adequate back up LB.

Isn't a right back or prem quality?

Either way I think he's untried at RB properly so might develop into one, and I think he is Premiership quality. In his two short cameos this season he has looked a lot more positive and a bit more like the old Seamus

Duffy is unproven in the premier league what i mean is out and out so not hibbert at centre half even though we've seen him do a job there, but we (well moyesy) keep(s) buying all these attacking players and ignoring our lack of depth at the back?

Distin and Baines are hitech futuristic cyborgs sent back in time by future Evertonians to make us defensively ace on the left side.
