Nice sign Lyon youngsters quite frequently. Looking to see how Jeremy Pied does there. Sure Pied means Foot.

They only sign them because they can't afford to buy anyone else, I think he'll do alright, and yes it does mean foot (y)

Just my sheer amusement at your bewilderment that people have knowledge of football outside of the premier league.

I'm sure that must have been hilarious for you lad, but still doesn't warrant 'pipe down'

Wallow in your misplaced & faux sense of superiority at having once watched a French league game love.

Nice will be a test, they have plenty of possession just can't buy a goal by the looks of things. One thing for sure is I won't be watching the RS just because it's on Sky :D

They do look blunt up top and if they bring in a striker then they will do alright, I'm not watching the RS because last time I did it made me physically ill

Yeah, I feel way superior...

Not at all, you're the one that assumes that "none of us nerds" like to watch world football and then try and call peoples bluff as if they are lieing.

But thanks for the concern, love.

...but you can't miss Super Sunday, surely to God?!

Listen, nobody is claiming superiority, nor should they. It's hardly something to boast about considering how accessible the media has made Ligue 1. Did you know the league even has it's own Youtube channel (see above) with English highlights? How's that for reaching out for mass appeal.

Your original comment which started this all of wreaked of ignorance, hence me pointing it out. Going on to accuse people of being "faux" for saying they watch the French league in the year 2012 is a further reflection of that ignorance.

Without meaning to sound ignorant myself, it seems you are stuck in the past somewhat.

I made a jokey comment which was 'inspired' by the wiki'esque based factual comments on the lad who is the subject of this thread.

I've got espn btw mate & have never watched the French league nor even knew they had it on! So my question wasnt sarcastic

The lad who chose to jump in with his 'pipe down' is a helmet IMO

L'equipe know their stuff so that leads me to believe there is some interest from our side, and I have to say at the price mentioned we'd be silly not to be interested. Also given that he is a very Moyes-ish player (versatile) it is further evidence to suggest that we are interested and I for one definitely hope we are

Same L'Equipe that as reported today that us and Newcastle are in for M'Vila?!. There not that reliable mate!.

Maybe it was a jokey comment, but afterwards you said

"It was a jest lad but seeing as you've decided to poke at it - where do you watch your French football then mate?"

You carried it on instead of leaving it and decided to insult and look for an argument. And even though he told you to pipe down, you decided to call him a helm, a kipper melt, and called him love, which couldn't be more patronising if you tried.
