XI v Wolves

Put a line through this one, they could easily score 3 or 4. We won't handle pressure/atmosphere and fall apart, even if new players start. Will take few games to get some shape/system, just hope they can hold their nerve, get few points and get some confidence.

Can't see any players not in current squad starting v Wolves. Hope we make signings but no way they are in first XI in 7 days.

( Plus this is EFC ...signings will come down to last day if at all )

Apparently their back line looked somewhat dodgy as well...

Local paper: "The first half here showcased a hitherto unknown phenomenon barely witnessed at Molineux since the 2016/17 season...a really poor defensively display.Three times Nuno's team were opened up and they were lucky Villarreal only punished them once from their trio of one-on-ones. Romain Saiss looked far from comfortable at right centre half but he wasn't the only culpable one – Ruben Neves (who missed his second penalty from three attempts in a Wolves shirt) gave the ball away for one of the chances and Conor Coady wasn't at his alert best by any means."

Same problem that Koeman created and then Unsworth and Gravy Sam couldn't do a lot with.

Any defensive combination that involves Jags, Keane and Leighton is going to leak goals.

So the only lads we want at the back are Coleman and Digsy. Wow Everton.
Then the two in front will be Gana, hopefully back to the version we signed.
Stuck with Schniderfraud. Rather play Benny, despite his age.

And we mostly agree the front line has to be Theo, Cenk and Brasil.

Thing is, we could have Ronaldo and Messi up top, but when you got the defenders we have, winning games is not going to be easy.

Courtois
Coleman (capt.), Mina, Holgate, Digne
Gueye
Bernard Siggi Richarlison
Tosun Walcott

or at least six of the above...

Realistically it is going to be:
PIckford
Coleman Jags Keane Digne
Gana Schneiderlin
Walcott Gylfi Richarlison
Tosun

Hopefully we can have players like Bernard and the new defenders ready to go the following week. There is enough quality there to win but no shot we are keeping a clean sheet so we need to take our chances and have no goals like Valencia's third that come from really dumb mistakes

All changed at HT when they took off Saiss.
