Wyness - Resigned

While this must surely be a nail in the kirkby coffin.
Wasn't Wyness the main man, who was doing a bad job, in terms of transfers?
Surely the fact that he has gone when we are in such terrible need of signings isn't exactly a good thing.

The question that no one wants to address - least of all BK it seems - do we have a pot to p*ss in? Have we, once again, overstretched ourselves? Is this the underlying reason why KW has flucked off to Spain (i.e. his mate is the pretext but, out of the way, he's avoiding the problem/blame)

example - KW was ordered to increase bid for Moutinho, refused (i.e. not enough money available), resigned.

something here with this whole situation stinks , once again if this means kirbys gone then happy days , plan b better be a good one . but this mess just confirms mr kenwright although blue to the core needs to step aside , im 28 years old and have followed the blues my whole life , im lucky enough to remember the 80s and was there (goodison) for much of it . we have never had a chance to push on and try and have a decent go out outing the [Poor language removed] or maybe the arse out of the top 4 .. id be absolutly gutted if this team starts to be sold off and things go back to the mike walker walter smith days .... with 40/50 million new stadium ( in the city we have a fecking good chance of making the top 4 each year , and winning things , i just hope moyes doesnt do one ( sorry to be so down this early )

Money has always been the underlying issue throughout BK reign as chairman theres no doubt in my mind that BK should look long and hard at himself now and ask can he do anymore for us?

The club is in debt we all know that but now is the time for BK to take off his rose tinted specs and start living in the real world yes we had a great season last time out but we over spent last summer and frankly to push on we have to over spend again this time round, but that wont happen becuase the club would only go ever more deeper into debt.

Whats needed is a fresh injection of cash now, that being said i think its possibly to late for any significant signings this summer

O.K then, lets get this right.....

We have the smallest squad in britian (by a long way)

We have not signed a fukkin bean an theirs 2 1/2 weeks till the big kick off.

We don't seem to have a pot to piss in.

The CEO has just resigned, For what?

The grounds an utter [Poor language removed]-hole, an have seen better in 3rd word countries.

An any chance of a new stadium, seems to be slipping away!!

And you are all happy about this!!

WHY?

while I fully agree with what you say, I can begin to see some postives. I think that given that we are likely to lose Kirkby, and that from other reports, the relationship between the Liverpool Supporting Local Council (LCC) and Everton has broken down, in part due to Kieth's approach, it gives us an opportunity to rebuild relationships.

Whether it means we get offered better sites than the joke Loop, which would decrease permanently our attendance, is another matter. I would also say that if Trevor Birch was still in control, he would have gone down much the same route of outsourcing etc, though I suspect that he would have hit his finanicial figures.

The main issue is that we get those players signed, and get Davey on a new contract.

CEO's will come and go, Everton will be forever.

If this means the downfall of kirkby then i hope you have enjoyed our euro adventures as you wont see them often after that. Without the extra finance from the new stadium, we will have to stay at GP. There will be no redevelopment as in case its escaped your notice, were skint!.

Couldn't this have happend 6 weeks ago. Give us time to replace an get the new guy settled in. We need at least 6 new players.

Do you think this will happen now?

Looks like a great season last year, has gone right down the fukkin pan!!

i just got back from work to see that our [Poor language removed] CEO has resigned at the most crucial time in our transfer season.

just to clarify, exactly what is a CEO's role at the club, i know he was pushing kirkby but what other responsibilities was he charged with? how does his power differ from Kenwright's, and exactly what does his resignation change?

We know nothing, don't jump to conclusions without knowing the facts.

He will probably have someone to replace him, his deputy [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Robert Elson will probably step up and do the job. Our transfers wouldn't go any quicker with or without Keith Wyness.

All is not doom and gloom, Moyes is close to signing a new contract and I'm quite positive a few players are coming in. It's not the best situation but things will get moving.

Personally I am glad to see the back of him.

Maybe he upset Moyes bu coming out and naming his targets to the media, i'm worried he might have mess up the deal for Jose M.

what extra finance? wyness estimated additional revenue, not profit, from the new stadium at approx. £10 million, so after deducting additional costs there wouldn't be much by way of additional profit to support moyes in the transfer market. kirkby's just a very expensive gamble in the hope of a rather modest return.

A CEO is effectively the guy who runs the day to day operation, he is in charge of everything incl transfers, contracts.
In other words were screwed
