Dont ask me why, despite its fakeness and all round fantasy, its got me hooked!

See Coronation Street, Eastenders and Emmerdale.....they could NEVER begin to write storylines as good as the WWE wrassling...never!

WWE is class:lol:

hello, ground control to Major Tom:P

Had a sleepless night last night and watched a bit on Sky Sports. Funniest bit was a fella getting hit by a kendo stick, a steel chair and a dustbin......and still standing up at the end!

These yanks are all texas tough:lol:

Nah I was joking. I do watch a bit everynow and again.....brings back old times of arranging big classroom royal rumble matches....

Split my head open in one of those matches jumping off a table and someone slamming me onto the floor...

Those were the days. :lol::lol:

I've never "got" wrestling at all. What's the appeal with watching faked* sport?

*I know they all train constantly and are v v fit, but why not put that effort into a real sport?

that reminds me of a particular Louie Theroux show I watched when he said it was fake.

Tell these guys its fake.:lol::lol:

real sports have a tendency to dislike the abuse of drugs, in the case of wrestling, participants getting steroided up to the eyeballs.

Think its just the fact that in the WWE, the stories and feuds etc they come up with are quite entertaining. Tbh, im sure everyone over the age of 5 knows Wrestling is fake but like i say, it is entertainment and quite good to watch.

TBH WWE does not suggest for one moment that it is not fake, that is why they describe themselves as sports entertainment. Some of the moves are highly dangerous, some are paid to take a really battering, that is how it operates. I watch Stone Cold being interviewed on SSN last night and he is a surprisingly charismatic guy who was very articulate, nothing like the Texas redneck he portrayed in the ring, Cena and the Rock are of a similar vein.

WWE's story lines do annoy especially the dwarf getting bullied by JBL, not a good example and the Eddie Guerrero's widow having an affair with Edge is shameful and tasteless but that is the WWE.

Monty,

It bothers me that you actually know a WWE storyline.:lol:

On occasion Bill there is bugger all else on the box mate and it affords me the chance to see a red neck rather than converse with one:P:P:P

I like wrestling. I used to love it but i grew out of that lol. Havent watched it much for the last couple of years, its going through its boring stage at the moment. I'll probably watch Wrestlemania on March 30th though.

To me it is pure entertainment. Like a soap or a good film i like watching talented performers tell a story. Good wrestlers are very talented. Good athletes, good actors. When wrestling is done well it draws you in like nothing else can.

Unfortunatly a lot of the time its complete [Poor language removed], but you stick with it through the bad times because you know it will be good again.

Its a shame WWE rules mainstream wrestling really. No competition means they can pretty much get away with what they want. If some pumped up crackhead thinks its funny then it gets on TV. Good wrestling exists outside of WWE though. No dumbass storylines or wacky characters. Just 2 men (or women) putting on a highly convincing match that make you care who wins and loses.
