I'd take bruised pride and everything before I'd want Everton to lose a game. Even the before the City game, and despite wanting Liverpool to get embarrassed to the extreme, I still wanted us to beat them. I want Martinez out as much as the next person, but even if we won every game to the end of the season he should still go IMO- it's been a failed season.

Can see the logic behind @matty1878's thinking though, and he does seem a good guy on here. Emotions obviously still high. If you don't agree, say it and move on. No harm done :)

That's cool. I just want to see evidence of "thousands" thinking the same way.

I'm out for the night, look forward to seeing the results in the morning after we beat Watford :)

Agree. It is interesting to see mate. Can kind of understand the point of view, in that long term a defeat would add to the chances of seeing somebody sacked who appears to be prohibiting our progress.

Still, the feeling of 3 points outweighs that for me. And if we build up momentum, do go on and beat everyone else before us this year, then hit the ground running next season, I'm happy to have egg on my face. Can't see it though!

what do you want him to do? Go out and survey the town centre?

I just want him to back up what he said. I'm trying to do the same here.

Okay, if we take your point and accept 6% is fact and not estimation, then thousands of Evertonians may want us to lose. That's still an incredible minority and easily dismissed, it's about the same percentage as a margin of error, ie irrelevant.

While true, that's not what the question raised by @matty1878 was? :)

It's not just 3 points, it's seeing my team, my idols, my religion, run out onto the park and win for us! It's not about a failing manager, it's about something that means as much to me as my family.
