Alot of players benefit from being the main man. On loan at either club at the same time, thought both Sturridge at Bolton and Welbeck at Sunderland looked great. Sturridge ended up forcing a move and has gone from strength to strength.
Welbeck has stagnated, miles better forwards in front of him, he would never be main man here either, and doesn't have the subtlety or talent to change his game. Needs to move, not to us.
The hookers of Manchester would be distraught if he were to leave.
