The question in effect is:

Do you want to move on to an unwritten future?
Do you want to a return to a mediocre past?

The feller offers any team he plays for one style of football: long ball. That's what he's used for, because that's pretty much all he is - a big lad to aim long balls at.
This is also true. He’s effective as that player. Can you see us changing our style of play though Dave? I can’t.

He has some useful traits but he is a system player and not well rounded enough for me to be a top player. If you need someone to clear the ball from a corner or win a header in the penalty area then great but he trickles his passes around, moves like a glacier and just randomly trips people up for no reason.

Man Utd is perfect for him, a club who can afford to keep him on the bench and bring him on for ten minutes to nick a goal etc. We are not in a position to do that right now.
Ha Ha. That his him in a nutshell right there.

I can. Very easily. We still have enough players (including those out on loan) to play a more technical game than we have now. Silva could come in and ally that technique to a bit of physicality as he did at Watford before they rebelled against him.

Until we shift the cruft ( Rooney, Jags, Baines, Bolaise, Williams), who seem unable to play grass based football, we won’t change.

These are often first on the team sheet too.

We can build a future around players like Coleman, Holgate, Kenny, Davies, Lookman, Dowell, Pickford, Baningime, Gueye and adding new players to them. That has to be the only way forward now.

he was a starter before his injury this season, as he was in RM's 3 games he was there at everton, think he threw him the armband in pre season also, martinez is clearly a big big fan
I can see Martinez using him exactly as Mourinho has played him: off the bench for the Hail Mary pass.

I think Siggy fills that void there, there is a hell of a player in there and i think he shines next season

Davies and Baningime both offer energy and vibrancy

Gueye... not much to say what a beast

And Fellaini as a destroyer and threat upfront

I still don't really understand though. Is Sigurdsson playing on the wing (why does this keep happening?) or is he a number 10? If Sigurdsson is the 10, with Tom / Beni partnering Gueye in the middle, then Felli is what? Impact option off the bench? Or are we playing some sort of diamond?

Mourinho on Fellaini:

"I always trusted Marouane since day one and try to give him confidence and show him how useful he is for the team."

"I keep saying the same about Fellaini. He is a player with special qualities and he gives me multiple areas of action."

“He is one of my most important players."

Two MU contract offers turned down.

No chance of him coming back here to link up with the likes of Morgan and Gana - sunshine and/or £££ beckons.

We're Everton, the family club. All our old players should come home on big lifetime contracts. Felli would be high on the list, but for me, Gibbo would be the first prodigal son we should bring home.
Just imagine this years Blue Chrimbo festivities, with all the 'lost lads' back where they belong.
