It's all about opinions and debate, in my opinion it was an acrimonious departure and despite your best efforts the vote as to whether he should return has slipped into negativity.he had the awful pairing of osman and neville behind him and was doing the work of three people, no wonder he got cheesed off, and in terms of how he left, even if you choose to be cynical, by modern era standards, acrimonious is a little harsh no?
My love for certain players is definitely bordering on the blind, and felli fits into that category, I'm not to worried about the vote though, we voted for kirkby, and as I said I think he will have better options in the summer. If he was to come I genuinely think he would be a success, he hasn't started any obvious form of decline like Rooney had, though as you say there isn't really any such thing as a free anymore, except you negotiate directly with the playerIt's all about opinions and debate, in my opinion it was an acrimonious departure and despite your best efforts the vote as to whether he should return has slipped into negativity.
As to whether a free transfer would be a ''' no brainer ' it would still involve a big signing on fee, massive wages etc too much of a risk at his age IMO as we appear to have enough problems at the moment and an aging squad.
That said I do appreciate where you're coming from, I enjoyed the bulk of his stay first time around.
I've never seen a less balanced squad...the Fellaini situation is the same as with any other player in that any acquisitions have to fit a team model and strategy that the DoF and Manager want to play.
A large part of the problem we have is that players have been bought in isolation, with no view to how they will fit into a team and no view how they will blend with others.
