one bad performance in a season when he was probably our best player, pretty sure he put in a transfer request so we got to keep all the dough, it's not like he did a lescott
His performances that season had tailed off significantly as his desire to leave increased, it wasn't just one poor game even I can recall that and I'm knocking on, I am sure that his £2m bonus he missed in handing in a request would have been handsomely repaid by his mentor Moyes and Man U.

he had the awful pairing of osman and neville behind him and was doing the work of three people, no wonder he got cheesed off, and in terms of how he left, even if you choose to be cynical, by modern era standards, acrimonious is a little harsh no?

Let's get another United failure in. Sounds like the way forward. What could possibly go wrong? :coffee:

Definitely not, and I'm a fan of Fellaini; I appreciate what he did for us and I think he's been under-appreciated at Manchester United as he was pretty central to all of the trophies they've won whilst he's been playing there.

Fellaini is a problematic player to have because he doesn't have a real position. His passing, closing down and speed are good enough for him to excel as a holding player, yet when he's played further forward he doesn't have great vision or a great shot on him. Fellaini is a physical beast, his control is awesome (especially his chest trap) and he has got bags of character but no real position.

I also don't like the idea of going back. He's better than what we have but he's not the kind of profile we should be looking at.
