He will never consider returning to us. Thankful he stayed the extra year. But we have to move on and go our own way. We will find a Striker again that scores for fun. We seem to have the supporting cast setup already. Surely, a quality entity will see this and propel us to the big time again.

When he left first it looked like a great price for Everton, then it looked as if he was sold at a bargain price and now again it looks as if we got full value and maybe a little extra.

Lukaku is a very good player, a very good striker but not a top quality striker. Of course he would improve our team as it stands, but I am not sure he is good enough for a title challenging team.

In the current set up. Yes, you would have him. But he can be static and goes missing in the very big games.

It would be facinating to see what he could do with Bernard, Richarlison, Sigurdsson and Walcott supplying him.

Having said that the front line supply at Man U looks excellent on paper and that isn't working.

Took a quick look on a Man U forum to get their take on him, somewhat unsurprisingly some think he apparently doesn’t get any service at Utd either, he does it seems, score plenty of goals in high scoring victories. Apparently he doesn’t turn up in big games/ when the pressure is on, seems his first touch is questionable and is somewhat lacking when it comes to his Movement. The general consensus is ‘we’should take the hit and sell the clumsy lump back Everton’.... tbh not sure you’d get the service tho Rom!
