Liverpool deserved to win it, that’s that.
we had so many chances in the first half, which we never took, second half we came out terrified of losing, which is never okay, but I suppose, somewhat understandable, against Liverpool, who never lose at Anfield, get the replay beat them
Under the lights at Goodison.
Then you remember we played kids, and as I said it’s full credit to Liverpool, and our problem was literally their fuel. Every ball, Every 50/50, every opportunity, even from a chance ball, they had players driving for it, want it. They were hungry, we were not.
Their players, a few local lads too, knew how important a Derby was, and it was a cracking goal.
But where’s our hunger? Where’s our passion, fight and desire?
They say winners breed winners, and no wins at Anfield in 21 years definitely showed there last night. They were terrified.
I’ve been to away games where we’ve lost 5-0, 5-2, you name it, but to go down without a fight, to a group of kids, in front of 8,000 blues?
Pathetic.
