Worst performance in our history.

I'll tell you whats changed since the game 4 weeks ago, they put out an even worse team, only 4 who started last month started today and one of them milner got subbed after 8 mins, but according to you we should get a grip and not expect to win
We only conceded one goal and had good chances in the first half.
The second half was poor, but given its 20 years since we won there, and our squad has not changed in the last four weeks since the last defeat, why does everyone think we would win?
We know our first team is not good enough. Liverpool are stable and in a position where they have been able to amass a lot of good players for their second string as well. It’s what winning the CL does.
ive given up being hurt by Derby losses, it’s the only way I can cope. It’s also inevitable when we are in this bad shape.

The 2nd half was nowhere near good enough. We couldn’t put 3 passes together and forgot to close them down for 45 minutes. Too many lazy ****s that need to never play again, but I fear they will

I'm 43 and the second half 'efforts' were without question the most spineless, gutless, pathetic 'performance' I've ever seen from any Everton side. And I lived through the Mike Walker period and the 97/98 team which both nearly seen us relegated.

As punishment ALL OF THEM who played should be banished to the sweep the streets of Liverpool for the rest of the week...and beyond. Phony barstewards.

It's not the worse as the first half was alright and if we had taken a chance who knows but the second half was terrible and another stark example of our gutless losers mentality and how many poor players we have especially in midfield.

Everyone thought we could/should win because they put out their nursery team, and we've spent 500 million in the last couple of years

I haven't seen every game in our history, I don't know if this is the worst there has been though I fine it very easy to believe it is.
Watching today reminded me of my playing days, I once was playing for a good side against a team who were way below us in terms of skill and experience. It was a cup game, I remember the training in the week before the game was easy and light hearted.
We turned up at their place full of confidence but little else. The game went according to expectation and at half time we were 5-0 up. In the second half they scored first, it wasn't a problem, we were clearly better players and better players always win. Our keeper rolled a ball to me and I carried it to the half way line looking for someone to lay a pass off to. Nobody was interested, the opposition pressed me and I turned and hit a ball back to our keeper, he was on the edge of the box and I managed to clear him and score an own goal.
5-2 still no problem, except they now had their tails up and played out of their skins. It went 5-3.
Then the leaders on our team came into play, they led by example, they talked to younger players, they fouled and disrupted, they stepped up to the mark and took responsibility for the ball. We lost another goal but even at 5-4 we knew we couldn't lose.
Today Everton bossed a first half but were completely submissive in the second, we have experienced international players out there, none of whom could lead. Not one of them could come up with something to arrest the complete surrender at the hands of kids.
I am an Everton fan, have been for 55 years, I have seen us sweat on relegation, I have seen us being very poor but I have never witnessed anything like today. I have read that the Liverpool second string beat us today, let's be honest that wasn't even their second 11.
I am an Evertonian, always have been always will be but if the club I support feels it is OK to let these wasters represent us then why should I care about results. We have not been good for years but today we disgraced ourselves.
Here in Ireland we talk about standing on the shoulders of giants, today our players trampled on the graves of Giants.

Still struggling to come to terms with how bad it was, if we had a mental block before going there what will this do to them? We may as well write the fixture off or send the kids to play there from now on.

To get 11 mostly internationals on a pitch to play like that takes some doing. I don't mind losing, even to that team if it took a worldie to beat us and their keeper had to make a load of saves, that can happen when it isn't your day. But to come out and not have a shot on target in the second half is just beyond.

All the chances to give us one chink of light in an otherwise miserable season and they conspire to not only mess it up but do so in the most horrific way, showing zero character and guts. I despise them all.

We were in a relegation position four weeks ago and were battered by them with a weakened team. Why was there any optimism? We haven’t won there for ages and the gap between clubs is the biggest it’s ever been.
I expected this and in the end, we lost by one goal.
The 500m is irrelevant. We know it’s been wasted. We may have spent that, but our team is nowhere near worth that.
