Hullefc, I agree that we as a nation should stay away from problems in other countrys. However would that also mean that politcal asylum sould also stop (it is interferance after all!) ? Oh I can hear the Left screaming blue murder alredy!

i agree with that as well , and the penal colony bit as well , if they dont like are way of life put them somewhere else see if they like it there, save us going around the block a few times trying to deport them, also put repeat offenders there as well if they dont live by the rules let them go to the colony

Number_25 these Muslims you were speaking to were obviously stupid if they seriously believe that western goverments would waste all the cash they have and used the "war on terror" just to attack Muslims. The real problem we have in this country is that it have become exceptable and even cool to hate this country (I'm taking about ALL people in general now). Our middle-eastern foreign-policy isn't really where it should be, I was talking to a lot of muslims the other night online who seem to think that our 'war on terror' is nothing but a front to attack muslims.

So the people you were conversing who had access to the net & therefore the total picture of what prompted the "War on terror" & everything that has happened in the interim & yet you're trying to say our foreign policy is what directly creates the opinion that it's a crusade against Muslims?

Could it not be that they're choosing to be either obtuse, ignoring what suits them or allowing themselves to influenced by others within their own culture rather than being fully objective about the issue?

The 'persecution angle' is what feeds the fundamentalists diatribe.
