And we are one of the few clubs that had money chucked at it in the 90’s and 00’s by a benefactor without achieving any meaningful success. But here we are. Are Man City, Chelsea and Newcastle part of the establishment now?

No,Newcastle had a good history in the old days like Everton did, but were never considered one of the elite whereas City and Chelsea have relied on rich benefactors to get to the top.
