McFadden over our high-potential, experience-needy youths in a dead rubber game against the worst team in the league?

Awesome.

Did any of you expect anything different? To be fair to McFadden he played well when he came on against utd. Let's wait till he gets taken off at around 60 mins to **** him off.

For me it's less about McFadden's ability (using that word lightly) and more about his age. He's at the end of his career and really, short of a miracle, he's going to remain the sub-standard player he is. But we do have a lot of younger players who could genuinely be good or even great PL players, and they're getting splinters in their arse whilst 'released from a championship team' Faddy racks up some more minutes.

Fair enough if we were at Old Trafford or something, but we're playing an already-relegated team with oh so little to play for ourselves.

Awesome.

Nothing more needs to be said. This is exhibit A in the "Of course Moyes gives youth a chance" courtroom drama.

Moyes gives youth a chance if they are freakishly advanced world-beaters at the age of seventeen or we have ten first-teamers injured, that's it.

Of course, he'll still moan when there's no youth players experienced enough and ready to replace any players we have to sell, which he has already acknowledged is our policy.

McFadden? Well, why is he starting instead of Barkley or Baxter? Especially Jose Baxter definetely deserves a chance in our team..
