I think the middle is a little bit out of ideas as to their identity. we've only got Gana to do the Gana role, but expecting D-Hall to run two positions seems a bit silly, and then the either support slot to cover Gana or to be more advanced making runs off or supporting Beto we kind of need a sprinter that is also a marathon runner and never ever stop moving, as well as a sixth sense for knowing where is essential to be. The lack of defined roles in CM is a conundrum to be solved. The longer the impasse is allowed to continue the more stuck long term it could take.

I agree, but I also think Moyes is aware of this. He's probably working it out himself still.

It's a reasonable first 3 games but given we're not settled yet - and Moyes has said that very clearly - I'm very pleased to have 6 points on the board. We ought to get better.

The argument would be that it would improve our depth and if we can enhance the midfield (competition or upgrade on Garner etc.) then let's do it.

But right now, if there are funds, I'd be looking at a RB as a priority, a star CB and potentially replacing Beto with someone more rounded.

If we could get a fantastic CM in though, I'd do it.
