is there any chance we would go after him? I believe his transfer cost from Arsenal to Barca was £16mil. That doesn't seem completely out of the question.

I dunno... just wondering aloud on a Sunday afternoon
 

Well, if you dont buy a ticket for the raffle.....you dont win the big prize....or some such statement. Highly, highly unlikely but, you never know and its worth an enquiry
 
I dont think he would play for another team in England!

I wouldnt go in for him, Wenger doesnt sell good players and by the sounds of things an incuable iinjury in his back has seriously impacted on his ability.

Players with pace also tend to fade once they approach their thirties and their powers waine! (Sell Johnson when he is 29)!

I also think he needs to be the star attraction and fulcrum of all play in a team, i simply dont think he would fitinto the team etthic at the club.
 
He is undoutably a world class player but one on the slippery slope downwards at the moment.

Now if he wanted £20,000 a week on a free transfer i'd probably take him but that aint gonna happen.

Best to look to thre future not the past.
 
If he leaves he's going to MLS or a champions league squad. He makes like 150K week doesn't he? Plus he'll cost 12-15M even if he wants to come to us.

you don't win doubles with a 1 man team, and so he wouldn't be the star attraction either, come on, this guy is WORLD class .

Was mate, a persistent back injury has meant that his best years are behind him, you dont manage doulde winning sides without knowing when a player (even your favourate), should be sent to the glue factory! Wenger doesnt make many mistakes in releaseing players!
 
I cant see a stampede for him if he is listed hes still a class player but without doubt past his best and you would not get much back if you sold him in a few seasons.(n)

Moyes looks to get young players on long contracts and a good sell-on price. as good as he was Henry is not in this catagory.
 
Agreed with Rook and Teppic that if he were to make another major move, odds are that he'd get Becks money or close to it to play in MLS.

I personally think that a move to MLS would be a great thing as it would help bolster the league and he certainly wouldn't be an old "past it" player looking for a paycheck as we saw early in the league's inception.
