Use it for sauces mate.

You can even freeze it in an ice cube tray for this purpose I'm informed.

I usually have a bottle of red open, lasts fine for a few days. Although i think 3 is the maximum I've kept it for without finishing, can't speak for it's reliability after that.
I’ve been doing some googling and apparently red wine with high tannins lasts 3-5 days.

lol Rioja and Malbec are my go to wines. Not that I'm an expert or anything.
Spent a week in Rioja during spring 2019 as part of a retracing "A Trip to Spain."

One of vinyards (I'd need to check back which one) has several KMs of tunnels under the vinyards, off these tunnels they have carved out mini wine cellars that you can rent for a ridiculously cheap fee (less that 100 euro a year) to keep your wine in.) they also have about 15 larger caves hollowed out with benches/tables for about 10 people you can book out to sup your stash.

Just a great trip for food and wine fanatics. Would definitely go back.

(for proof of fanaticism, 1st day I drove 500km for lunch)

I'm old enough to remember when our choice was between 'Blue Nun' and 'Black Tower'.

Amazing how the British proletariat now enjoy 'the finest wines known to man'.
I'm old enough to remember if it wasn't an aussie white your mates would disown you.
And as for ordering a G&T .......
