William Carvalho

If he wants that type of player, I don't see why Schneiderlin couldn't do it. Seems a waste to get Carvalho. More pressing need imo...

It depends on Schneiderlins attitude when meeting Silva.

I agree, but then I think we could make a £20m profit and get a slightly better player... Maybe... so wouldn't be terrible

Uses the ball well, always looks to play forward, good tactical positioning, just the obvious concern around a lack of mobility in the prem.

He did ok in a race with Suarez and came away with the ball, so maybe he's a bit more mobile than he looks?

I think he's a good player, I mean he was part of a midfield that won a European champs. It's just whether he suits the PL, I suspect his skillset would work better in Spain or Italy.

He's a very poor man's Yaya Toure. Slower than Rome and that's saying something.

He can run when he has to. But he's not high energy and Silva needs someone next to Gana who can carry the ball a bit IMO.

This guy has us all totally split on our opinions. From what I’ve seen, I’d take him ahead of Schneiderlin. I’ve not seen a midfielder (including Carvalho) slower than MS when we went down to Bournemouth just before New Year. He was running through treacle. Plus, Schneiderlin has taken enough money off us and given nothing back.
