Will we be attracting investment with current form?

Bills skint, but has a knack of getting the right man for the job of managing the club.

Do you want an owner with plenty of wonga who will go for the Lamberts of this world circa Learner or an owner who obviously has a talent for spotting good management.

Dilemma.

I would say Lerner wanted Martinez as Villa manager 2 years ago but got turned down. I am not anti-Kenwright or anything btw.

Im neither way to be honest, wonga would be nice and Bills limitations are easy to point out, but his attributes are very rarely mentioned. To be successful i think you need a balance of both good corporate governance on the footballing side and a decent bit of wedge to invest. I dont think both are neccessarily a given with a take over - that doesnt mean we shouldnt target one, because clearly its needed to compete, change can also bring about stimulas, but also loss and change in continuity. weighing it all up i think the debate is a little more detailed then just sell for a bit of wedge so we can buy a Robhino or whatever. That said id be the first to put on a belt and a tea towel if we got sheiked up.

*Poznans!

Theirs no such thing is "investment" in football at least not to what we all want.

kenwright uses term investment not takeover as he doesnt want to sell, by searching for investment he knows he'll draw a blank as no billionaire is gonna invest in a club millions and not own it.

Liverpool
villa
chelsea
Man city
Newcastle
Sunderland
Southampton

all clubs TAKEN OVER not invested in

Blue Bill has too big an ego to let go of his status and power. No investor would want him as chairman, and his crony elstone as chief executive

He knows the club needs to go to the next Fin level but he,d rather play with his train set till it,s taken off him.

Exactly and its just a shame the media would rather slate our loan signings than actually do something constructive and report and look into why kenwright hasn't found this magical 'investor' but they wont as they know full well the sleeping masses in GP might awaken and start asking bill questions and thats bad news for the image of plucky little everton punching above their weight

Okay, the reason we're not getting any investment is solely down to Bill.

Look at all the clubs that have investment:

Chelsea - London club
Arsenal - London club
Manchester United - The most successful club in English football
Manchester City - New stadium, the city is in the name
Liverpool - The city is in the name
Tottenham - London club
West Ham - London club

I used to tell myself that we just weren't an attractive proposal for investment. Our stadium was old and any foreigners will ask "Everton? Never heard of that city" which is why Manchester City was bought ahead of us.

Now Villa, relegation candidates with an old stadium (and no relation to their city in their name) are being bought for £200m, dispelling any excuse I could use to side with Kenwright. Bill just will not sell.

There is lies the problem Kenwright can't sell Everton!

Money doesn't always mean success.

A report shows we've spent 250 million since we came back up and for that we managed 1 top ten place, and even that could have been 14th if results hadn't fallen.

Bad managers and paying over the odds didn't help mind.
