Will it be now???

I cant see either of them going anywhere near any of " your " Chelsea's , Spurs , Barcodes , City's etc . Both Oneill and Moysey have been " BULIDING " sides , that is , characters being as important as skill . Right now , both have carte blanche over the whole club , are in an environment where their personal standing is at unprecedented levels , and , let's be honest , are pushing the top four with what they've got already . Why in the world would either want to go to a mad-house like Chelsea ?? Furthermore , think of the satisfaction in returning a truly great , historically as well as contemporary , institution like both ourselves and in truth , Aston Vanilla ; to the top-table . Look what happened to Shankly . Both to swerve it even if offered .

Too many egos and backstabbing at Chelsea inside and outside the dressing room. Grant got the brunt of it after Mourinho left, aparrantly Scolari got it Cech, Ballack, Drogba and the defence didnt like his tactics (and again it was supposed to be Abramovich's doing, Kenyon and everyone else all liked Scolari). Moyes is all about trust, control, and integrity - mess them up with him and he's gone or not interested.

Abramovich aint spending cash either, unless he sells to club. To generate funds he'd have to sell and bring players in. By the time they start to gell they'd have sacked him because he's 4th in the league.

Moyes also doesnt have Champs League experience, or won any cups, he isnt a "name" manager that they would look at, which wont make him a target so nothing to worry about IMO.

The Chelsea fans are almost getting as bad as the Geordies. Zola for manager? West Ham's his 1st club at management isnt it? Its just like the Geordies wanting Shearer as manager.

Hiddink's in talks with them now anyway.

Anyone I've ever heard of that's met the man in person reckons he's a 100%, Grade-A, premium Asshole of a man.

The 'quiet little soft spoken librarian' bit he does for the media is complete misrepresentation.

I think you're right one way, wrong the other. Pontus Kåmark, a swedish centre back who played under O'Neill in Leicester said on a swedish talkshow that "he can be a complete pig against his players" in order to win, if it's necessary. Johan Mjällby (former celtic defender) was on the same show and agreed.

But also that he was very welcoming and friendly outside the pitch, for example when Kåmark returned as a commentator to a Celtic-Rangers game after his career. 2 hours before kickoff of that immense game O'Neill took Kåmark for a tour around the grounds... And Kåmark isn't exactly Henrik Larsson to say the least.

imo the glazers will breathe a bit of a sigh of relief when saf has gone as he rules the roost (albeit very succesfully), his word is final. they will then get on with running their franchise in their own way, i think the last thing they will want is another stubborn scotsman coming in , and will opt for one of the managers that has moved around the top teams, jose will surely be at the top of their list.

moyes will get closer to achieving the impossible at Everton and will take great satisfaction that what he is doing is all down to hard work, he will get a lot from the fact that he has taken relatively unknown players and turned them into winners.

i remember a team once that this was said of, "a team that contains no real household names, players that if you ask a housewife about then they have never heard of them" that team went on to win the f.a.cup, the league, the cup winners cup, charity shields, close to a treble, close to a double. the housewives knew their names then, and not on the basis that they were always on the front pages. this is what moyes is being forced to do through a lack of funds, it's all good and well lashing huge amounts at players but if they prove to be lame ducks then that fee becomes a big loss, people say we shouldve spent on moutinho, nobody else is exactly jumping at his buyout clause, maybe zenit will march in with their arshavin dough and activate the clause, he wont want to go but sporting will say "sorry son it works both ways, your goin'. btw take your coat we hear its a bit nippy out there".

Fair Point there Reidy

If that happened I would burn my season ticket

Mourinho no way for me I like to watch a bit of football

Whoever takes the United job is in a no win situation

Hope Fergie lives to be 108 and retires at 100(y)

Would you have Moyes mate? Just out of curiosity, who would you like to see get it?

For me a British Manager I am sick of this [Poor language removed] about foreign coaches being better its bullshit

Moyes reminds me of a young fergie

Focused , talented, aggresive (in the right way) and fiercely proud

For me It would be a tossup between Moyes or O Neil

By the way I met Moyes at a sportmans dinners a couple of years ago top bloke

If Utd fans want attacking football then Moyes isnt that man, even less so than Mourinho to be honest. Not having a go at him, just different styles of management.

Martin O'Neil isn't that man either to be honest.

Chelsea may be a good place to play but I wouldn't wish that management job on anyone.

The guy I think who would be a good fit at Chelsea would be Hodgson. Smart guy, and wouldn't be intimated by Terry and Lampard.

O'Neil is a top manager. Almost every player on Villa has raised their game since he's been there. Made decent players out of rubbish like Zat Knight, and brought concistency to talented players like Milner.
