As a man earlier said in the thread, if he just wanted a final payout he could have got more money and a simpler task in China or the middle east. I can't see him wanting to take this job at Goodison and bow out as a loser...........he's been promised something big I'm certain for him to accept this task.

I think the idea that a team needs time to be successful is a myth. Good managers make the players they have better. They can turn 5s into 7s and 7s into 8s with great man management and tactics that suit the players they have not the players they wish they had.

Leicester is a shining example of being a champion team instead of a team of champions. They won the premier league because the tactics were spot on for the players they had.

The players in our squad are good enough to be where we want them to be. Plenty of us thought we would be pushing the top 6 at the start of the season and they still are with the right management

It’s the worst group of players he’s managed in a couple of decades. He defo needs time, the club is a mix of 5 different managers players. His hardest job will be getting more out of the lads who are already here, then adding more quality to it.
