You all expect too much already, the lad is potentially the best young talent I have ever seen. I have no doubt he will ignite the Premier League next season. Vault me if I'm wrong, too many pessimistic bleach drinking blues. I concede he does need to get aggressive though, all the worlds greats have a huge chunk of snide in them. Gerrard wasn't without his problems at this stage of his career but I'm sure he was Captain of the [Poor language removed] by 23.

I don't know what heights Barkley will reach but I would be delighted if he was as good as Gerrard and stayed with us as long.
Gerrard has carried that club on his back for a decade.

He's definitely got the talent to succeed. Next season we'll find out if he's got the mentality and attitude to do so.

Yes these seem to be the things missing from Ross's game , he most definitely has bundles of talent, hope he gets his game together next season.

That Barkley isn't the same one we saw this season. Has looked a totally different player. The confidence and the aggression has gone. If he gets it back he could go on to be unstoppable, huge season for him next year.

For me Ross has been an absolute embarrasment ..for what we expected.
How we all want him to be at least playing a part in the next Holy Trinity.

Lacks intelligence and consistency and doesent have enough raw talent like Rooney did. Some players don't make it Stephen Ireland Michael Richards all had at one point potential to be world class but never made it. Hope he proves me wrong but at the moment dissent look like it

As for consistency, young players aren't consistent. That comes with experience and the development of their craft as footballers as they age.
